• Immediately before the flight, testing is carried out aimed at detecting antibodies to the rabies virus. The test must be performed by an accredited laboratory;
• An international veterinary passport is issued for the dog. It contains information about all vaccinations, dates of antiparasitic treatment.

When planning transportation across Europe, you need to issue an Animal Health Certificate (ANC) for all animals, including dogs. This is a certificate of health, which contains all the basic information about the pet – the breed of the dog, its age, nickname, microchip code, and vaccination data. The certificate must also contain the data of the dog's owner. ANS is received no earlier than within 10 days before departure, this document is valid for 4 months. During this entire period, the owner and his pet can travel freely across the EU states.

If a flight with a dog is planned to Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway, or Malta, then you should take care in advance of undergoing treatment for Echinococcus multilocularis parasites, the drugs prescribed by the veterinarian should be given to the pet no later than within a day before departure and no earlier than within 5 days before the scheduled flight.

 

 

Dogs are also imported to Cyprus in compliance with all the above requirements. Moreover, you must obtain a permit for the export of an animal in your country before departure.
