We will arrange a medical flight on a private jets
Cyprus Private Jets company provides services for the organization of medical flights. The competent organization of the flight of a sick person is a task exclusively for professionals. The flight should not only be as fast as possible but also comfortable. A person's life often literally depends on the efficiency of delivering a patient to a clinic that is several thousand kilometers away.
A private medical plane is a service for those who cannot use a regular flight and need special flight conditions. The speed of organizing a sanitary flight by an air broker is up to 3-4 hours from the moment of registration. They always have priority in obtaining permission to fly. We will help you to board almost any airport in Cyprus and Europe as quickly as possible. Health can let a person down at any time, including when he/she is in a place that is difficult to reach for medical care. In some cases, it is possible to get to the nearest hospital only by air (for example, at ski resorts or during geological expeditions), or ground transportation of the victim is excluded for medical reasons. In these situations, business aviation comes to the rescue to save lives: a medical flight is organized for emergency evacuation or transportation of a seriously ill passenger for treatment (surgery).
Transportation of bedridden patients by private plane
Sanitary flight differs from other types of aviation services in the fact that a doctor must monitor the patient's condition on board a business jet. Therefore, such a service is provided with medical support: the flight is carried out by a crew with doctors and other support workers. The number and qualification of medical personnel on board during the flight are calculated depending on the severity of the patient's condition. The doctor accompanies the patient to the hospital, where the treatment will be carried out.
Modern capabilities for providing medical care in flight conditions allow the entire range of intensive care and resuscitation measures to be carried out in the air if the patient requires this. The equipment of the sanitary aircraft meets all the tasks that may arise during the transportation of passengers.

Features of medical flights
There are two types of flights for medical reasons:
- emergency evacuation (mass evacuation - in case of fires, floods, natural and man-made disasters, or for individual patients in areas inaccessible to other transport);
- transporting the patient for surgery or treatment.
Renting a medical aircraft often becomes the only possible way to transport a patient to another country for emergency or planned surgery. In this case, the accompanying doctors ensure:
- stability of health indicators during the flight;
- provision of necessary transportation conditions taking into account the patient's condition;
- transfer of the patient and his/her documents to the doctors of the receiving clinic, negotiations;
- the possibility of accompanying loved ones to the place of hospitalization.
The arsenal of sanitary aircraft includes mechanisms and devices for safe and non-traumatic transportation: dampers, electric lifts, vacuum mattresses with immobilization function (for fixation in case of fractures, injuries, etc).

What affects the cost of the flight?
The key price-forming factor in business aviation is the class of the business jet and the year of its release. The cost of flying on the newest aircraft with innovative equipment will be more expensive than on older models. The second most important element is the route and its distance.
Moreover, other equally important factors affect the final cost:
- The price of a flight hour, it most often depends on the season;
- Flight routes – intercontinental flights are much more expensive than European ones;
- The need for de-icing treatment of the aircraft body;
- Chartering the aircraft in the parking lot while waiting for passengers;
- Features of airport service. VIP service involves the involvement of employees who will provide all possible assistance at the airport and help to go through all the procedures before the flight. This is very convenient and reduces the waiting time, but also increases the cost of the service;
- Requirements for catering on board. Ordering restaurant dishes, especially exotic ones, also increases the cost of a charter flight.
The price of the flight increases in proportion to the additional services ordered. Transfer, booking of accommodation, special interior design require the involvement of additional resources, which affects the final cost of a business jet flight. However, all prices are fixed in the contract at the stage of approval. You can get the exact figures from your personal manager after processing the application. You can also use the online calculator on the website, but its data are indicative.

Knowing the type of business liner and the number of hours in the sky, you can calculate the basic cost of the flight. However, you still need to add 30% for fuel, 20% for parking, 15% for crew work, about 5% for air navigation services. If you want to make the calculation process easier for you, we will take these nuances on ourselves and announce the final price to you. And if necessary, we will provide full details, broken down by specific services.

Medical equipment used
The cabin of an aircraft intended for a medical flight has the equipment that the patient needs to ensure a comfortable and safe flight installed on the recommendation of the attending physician. For example, it can be a lifeport – a specially equipped place for transporting a recumbent passenger, equipped with resuscitation equipment or life support devices.
During transportation to the flight, the passenger is fully accompanied by medical personnel: ambulance staff pick up the client from home or clinic and accompany him/her to boarding. The aircraft is equipped so that transportation takes place as gently and smoothly as possible.
During the entire flight, qualified medical personnel is also always on board next to the passenger, ready to provide full and timely assistance. All the requirements and individual needs of the passenger are met in the cabin: air temperature, humidity, pressure, furniture placement and ordering of special meals, intensive care equipment is provided. It is virtually impossible to create everything you need on a regular flight with a large number of people on board.
When entrusting a medical flight to Cyprus Private Jets, you get the maximum package of services for transporting passengers by plane in the shortest possible time:
- Fast and clear organization. We work 24/7 to launch a sanitary flight;
- Full information and documentary support of transportation;
- The medical staff on board is coordinated with the passenger's attending physician;
- Ambulance access to the aircraft ramp for departure and arrival;
- Our medical specialist will recommend you the type of a plane based on the patient's condition: his diagnosis and the necessary equipment for the flight;
- Transportation is organized in full compliance with international standards;
- Transportation to any city in the world.
The cost of medical evacuation from Europe to Cyprus starts from 15 thousand euros per board, partial compensation of expenses by the passenger's insurance company is possible.
Thanks to the experience of working in the field of the air ambulance, Cyprus Private Jets has access to a huge database of comfortable business jets prepared for the careful transportation of a seriously ill passenger under the supervision of qualified medical staff.
Favorable conditions for flights to clinics in Europe and Cyprus
Our company is ready to provide you with the best conditions for transporting patients for medical purposes.
After receiving your application, we will select several suitable options, calculate the volume and cost of medical support, collect and prepare the necessary list of equipment and special tools. All calculations, photos, and booking conditions of a private plane will be provided to you for approval.
It is also possible to rent a medical aircraft in our company urgently: we have experience in providing services for 3-5 hours from the moment of application.
We will not forget about ground support: the entire process of delivering a patient from the starting point of the route to the receiving clinic will be under our control, including the smallest details and nuances.
Combining the experience and the highest qualifications of pilots, managers, and doctors, we guarantee the safety and comfort of a medical flight in any patient's condition.
Evacuation by helicopter
Evacuation of seriously ill people by helicopter is convenient because such aircraft can land on almost any site, including on the roofs of large medical centers. Helicopter transport services in the air ambulance are in demand in cases when transporting a patient by road can take a long time, which is dangerous.
In large metropolitan areas, helicopters are used if you need to urgently deliver a patient with a stroke, heart attack, serious injuries, and extensive burns to the hospital. Moving through the air takes only a few minutes, that is, there is a real chance to save a person's life.
Cyprus Private Jets helicopters for transporting a recumbent passenger are ordered when it is necessary to get to a place where it is impossible for the plane to land.
Cases of medical flights with Cyprus Private Jets:
Heart surgery
During the pandemic, an elderly couple applied to Cyprus Private Jets with a request to urgently send a flight to Germany. The client needed emergency heart surgery. Our specialists organized the flight in one day and helped to obtain a quick departure permit for medical reasons. "The air traffic with Germany was closed at the time of the organization of the flight," says the broker, "so in this case, we needed to get permission to fly, providing the necessary documents for this, which we partially issued ourselves, and partially requested from passengers. In addition, Germany was quarantined, which we also took into account. The client recovered, and after some time, we organized a return flight for the family by another plane."
Transportation of covid-positive passengers to their homeland
In the summer of 2021, a travel agency contacted us with a request to assist in the transportation of its clients from Greece who found themselves in a difficult situation. A mother and an adult daughter arrived on vacation in Greece on a regular flight and unexpectedly received a positive result for coronavirus. The hotel quarantined the women for 10-14 days and took their documents. It is possible to take the sick to their homeland only on a medical flight with the appropriate permits from Greece. Having started searching for a suitable ambulance plane, we faced the fact that most operators were ready to transport patients only separately, which doubled the cost of the flight for them. Using all the connections, we found a company that agreed not to separate mother and daughter for transportation to their homeland. The transportation operation was complicated by the fact that the sick were not allowed out of the hotel room. It was necessary to obtain permission from a local operation center called Civil Protection. Further, the Greek Ministry of Emergency Situations, on the basis of this permit, had to send a letter to the hotel and airport and give permission to transport the sick.
After obtaining the necessary permits, the clients were transported to Athens Airport by ambulance directly to the plane ramp. The medical aircraft was equipped with all the necessary equipment and had a modified layout so that passengers could fly lying down. A doctor was also found to accompany the mother and daughter. In Cyprus, the clients were met by an ambulance and taken home for self-isolation.
Due to the high rate of spread of COVID-19, medical aviation operators are working as efficiently as possible. Many aircraft are equipped with special autonomous isolation devices called EPI Shuttle, which allow them to transport infected patients without risk to their accompanying relatives and medical team.
Terms of payment and refund if necessary
You can pay for a private flight using an invoice, bank transfer, or card. We try to be as flexible as possible, and in some cases, we will be able to accept payment in cash or using cryptocurrency. The company guarantees the preservation of the client's personal data and is always ready to consider alternative payment methods for services. We provide a full package of documents for accounting statements. We provide services to both individuals and legal entities.
The conditions for the refund of payment in case of flight cancellation or in force majeure situations are prescribed in the contract and are negotiated individually. In many ways, they depend on the chosen business jet since operators and owners of aircraft set individual conditions for canceling flights. If this is our fault, then Cyprus Private Jets will fully refund the funds. If the passenger refuses to fly, we will do everything possible to ensure that the fine is minimal for you.
